Overview

TICS environmental backshells are designed to be employed on connectors intended to withstand harsh environments when the connector - cable interface is sealed against harsh environment ingress in the form of dust/ dirt/ moisture/ fluids/ salts, once the backshell is secured.

These backshells are designed to provide outstanding immersion capabilities up to water levels of six feet with suitable O-rings, or when the strain relief is tightened with a resilient grommet, over jacketed cables. The backshells can feature provisions to accommodate EMI/RFI shielding requirements as well, and can support straight or angled (90°/ 45°) cable routing.
